Here is happy me, with my beautiful trouble makers, 'current students' with their most recent collaborative project, in a juried exhibition, which received the jurors' award! It can't get better than this. I celebrate this beautiful group as they celebrate their work as I celebrate them.

I am proud of these students and the energy we have. We work hard, have fun, support each other and have fun! It is our first ceramic class together. meet, "apple(s) of my eye", "sweet angels", "howdy partners" with "yellow belly" who "Donut stress. Just do their best". "Mr. potato heads", if it is 'not your cup of tea" or you feel like "a fish out of water"

"The apple doesn't fall far from the tree" "take a chill pill" and be a "king to the castle"

Kitschy stories - discovering new, imagined, and playful world

A collaborative art project
Students of ARST 1130-05 Foundation of Art: Ceramic

Participants: Alexis LaRosa, Blaine Martin, Chandler Carter, Courtney Kearney, Emily Brockman, Katy Belle Sauers, Lillian Milgram, Margaret Apatini, Melina Rafferty, Tanvi Bobba, Valentina Reyes

A project inspired by the exquisite corpse, A concept invented by surrealists by using collective assembly of words or images, kitsch, and intuition. The unreal, mysterious, and strange assemblage of mass-produced objects has the power to heal and amuse as one makes new meanings. Working independently yet collaboratively results in pleasant surprises as we continue to interact, affect, and learn from each other
